Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
The Roman Road to Jesus
Are you a good person? Are you good enough to go to Heaven? By whose standard? Maybe you’re a good person when measured against those around you; but is that really the best standard to use? Did you know that the God of the Christian Bible has a standard, and according to His standard no one is good enough?

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:23 NKJV

No matter how good of a person you think you are your actions, words, and thoughts betray you, and God declares that you are a bad person, a sinner, and can never be good enough on your own. There’s a popular song by Lady Gaga that says you were “Born This Way”; and surely this way you will die.
“As it is written:“There is none righteous, no, not one;”
Romans 3:10 NKJV

Because of the first man’s (Adam’s) rejection of God a sinful seed was passed to you. So yea, you were born this way. Maybe you feel it’s easier to deny Gods existence because if you don’t believe in Him, then you don’t have to answer to him. That’s risky thinking friend. Because what if you’re wrong??
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” Romans 5:12 NKJV

Do you think that it’s fair that God sends you to Hell because of the way he made you; because of the way you were born? It’s not a trick question. It’s not fair. But did you know that the Christian Bible says that Jesus Christ died to cancel out the penalty you will get because of the way you were born? So when you go to Hell it won’t be because you were born a sinner, it’ll be because of your rejection of Jesus Christ sacrifice for your sins. So you can’t blame God or Momma or Daddy for where you end up. It’s all on you kid.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 NKJV

Have you ever seen a movie where the Hero gives his life to save the villain? No? Me neither, but that’s exactly what Jesus did for the whole world. Even though the human heart is evil continually and is deserving of God’s judgment, Jesus sacrificed himself and took our punishment as his own. #romans5 #romans5v8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NKJV

Unlike all other religions Christianity only requires you to do one thing to avoid going to hell. Believe. You don’t have to work for it or go door to door bothering people or clean yourself up. Just come as you are, because true salvation comes with no strings attached. If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, then BOOM! Signed, sealed, and delivered you have a one way guaranteed ticket to heaven when you die.

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV

A loving God would never send anyone to Hell. Says who? God is loving, but He is also Holy. He gave us His written Word, The Bible, and the Living Word, Jesus Christ, and they both declare that there is only one way to Heaven.

“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13 NKJV

I’ll admit, it takes faith to believe in God, Jesus, heaven and hell. No amount of moral, scientific, or philosophical debate can replace the fact that it takes faith. So if you’re really skeptical fine go research till your hearts content, but don’t linger too long. Because you don’t have to be a Christian to know that tomorrow isn’t promised to you. Assuming the Bible is right, and if you died today, would you be ready to stand before God?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 NKJV

If you’ve traveled the Romans Road and you’ve decided to take a step of faith to start your relationship with Jesus right now here’s a prayer. You can read it as it’s written, you just have to mean it for yourself…
Dear Jesus, I admit that I’m a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me, and are alive today. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen.
